--- Comment #4 from Telesto <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #1) > ... you probably want to combine them into one dialog likely together with > Position & Size. A) Yes, I'm comparing this with Writer (with the idea of consistently/homogeneity) I'm more familiar with Writer. Doing stuff differently in Calc increases the learning curve. B) Bit out of my initial scope: there is also the matter of internal consistently inside Writer. A gallery object uses the 'Position and Size dialog' and a image the is handled in the image dialog; both dialogs have different sizes. There is quite some overlap in function. Why can I manage wrap in the dialog for Images, but not for Gallery Objects. In that case I need to use the context menu.. Both are 'images' on the screen. C) Having different dialogs for naming the object and adding Alt-text is rather clumsy workflow. I have to open two separate dialogs. --- Some additional context. Why the sudden interest in renaming images.. it's caused by attempt to investigate the issue at bug 160231 (attachment 193145). I looked through the image names in the navigator. I wanted to find 'missing' images. However it's was no joy to use. Next step: maybe I should rename a couple of those, making those images more recognizable instead of image278.jpg. Argh this is hard. The sample file is also an illustrations how Images are used in Calc.. and indirectly usefulness of proper labeling those images :-) In case of Writer you can also rename the image directly from navigator & even access the image properties dialog... Calc can't :-( See also bug 160353/ bug 160352 for improvements to make the navigator actually more productive Calc So Calc lacks features which Writer has, and the do seems sensible to have in Calc too (in the long term). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
