Example file from Excel with sheet protection and AutoFilter
Excel offers the sheet protection feature "Use Autofilter" meaning even on
protected sheets the autofilters work.
1. Open attached document in Excel an Calc
-> In Excel, on the first sheet the autofilter is usable ("Use Autofilter" is
enabled in the Protect Sheet dialog), but on the second sheet it is not.
-> In Calc, the Protect Sheet dialog does not have this option, so the
autofilter is usable on both sheets.
