Summary: documentation Writer Guide, for example -- list of
changes in chapters, also some marks indicating
changes
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.0.0 alpha0+ Master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Priority: medium

hi,
it would be great to browse the guide books, say, Writer Guide 24.2, and see
the changes in chapters...
For example, looking at the Master Document section in the TOC,
it would be incredibly great to see if there was anything new compared to the
previous version...
The 24.2 version ends at page 379, whereas the 7.6 version ends at 373...
so, there must be something new!
But wait...
the starting page of the section is also different...
No problem, get the calculator...
383-367 = 16
389-73 = 16...
Oh, so, nothing has changed...
At least it looks so...
But even an additional line could be a whole new functionality...
So, if changes were indicated, notonly browsing the handbook, but also
utilizing the functionalities and getting a picture on the current version's
state would be way easier...
For a start, a simple asterisk would do... at chapter titles and sub-chapter
titles, where changes happened...
For a second run, in subchapters, where changes have happened, a what's new
paragraph could be at the beginning, noting if there was any change in the
functionalities... or just in the guide's text... or if there was some change
in the functionalities, what that was...
