Steps to reproduce: 1/ in a new spreadsheet type 3% in A1 => you get 3 % left aligned (so detected as text) 2/ menu Tools > AutoCorrect options > Localized options > uncheck "Add non breaking space before specific punctuation marks in french text" => you get 3,00% right aligned (so detected as number).
