Bug ID: 161104
Summary: Text Truncated at the End of Slides After Save in
LibreOffice Impress
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.3.7.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When opening a presentation in LibreOffice Impress, editing a slide, and saving
it, the last few characters of the slide are frequently truncated in the saved
version. While the slide appears correctly on the screen, the saved file
indicates no changes made since the last save. However, upon closing and
reopening the file, the last few characters of the last bullet point on the
slide are missing. A workaround involves duplicating the problematic slide,
making edits in the duplicated version, deleting the original slide, and then
saving
Actual Results:
Sometimes: The re-opened presentation appears with the last characters missing
on the edited slides.
Other times: The re-opened presentation appears as saved, as expected.
Expected Results:
The re-opened presentation should appear as saved, with no truncation of text.
Reproducible: Sometimes
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
This issue occurs inconsistently, with some presentations showing truncated
text upon reopening while others appear as saved.
No user profile reset was performed.
Workaround involves duplicating slides, editing the duplicated version, and
deleting the original slide before saving.
The issue has been reported by [email protected] on 2024-05-15
15:36 UTC.
