Bug ID: 161148
Summary: Shadow on Emoji just duplicates them (instead of
greying their shape)
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.6.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
There are actually two ways to apply a shadow to a text: doing it on the
characters or to the whole text box.
In both cases what happens for regular text is that it is duplicated on a
diagonal but using a different color (customizable) and putting the copy behind
the original text.
If you insert an emoji among the characters (👉📱🎁👑🎉 for instance), LO behaves
similarly but not properly in the same way: it duplicates the icon but doesn't
grey it's shape.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Draw or Impress;
2. Create a Text Box and write some text, then insert also some emojis (you can
copy from here 👉📱🎁👑🎉 and paste them);
3. Select the whole text (or the box) and apply the shadow.
Actual Results:
The icons are just duplicated, not greyed (or colored as specified)
Expected Results:
The software should somehow detect the icons shape and just fill it with the
desired shadow color.
Reproducible: Always
