I'm not sure why that was closed in the first place, we have: - OP saying that losing the format on cut is the problem in comment 2 - duplicate bug 161192 asking for something similar (where is was also argued that the main issue is the first step, because the "paste without affecting target format" is already possible with a Paste Special that remembers settings) - (ex-) duplicate bug 156088 asking for the same thing - comment 10 listing 4 ask.LO questions asking for the same thing (some referring to drag-and-drop instead of cutting) - comment 8 showing that users elsewhere are also looking for that I see there is opposition to the workflow, and I understand the default is fine, but seeing the above I can't see why an extra UNO command couldn't be created so users can assign a shortcut or add a toolbar button to help them out.
