Priority: medium
Bug ID: 65264
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Inserting formatted text from clipboard is very much
slow
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.3.3 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
For example, I copied to clipbooard a short unformatted text from webmail, less
than 1000 characters and 10 lines. The font, size, etc. are the same on the
whole text.
Writer 4.0.3.3. release portable, on Windows XP Home SP3 (IA-32), with 1 GB of
really memory (about 400 MB free before starting the Writer, + 1 GB of virtual
memory, Intel SL79K CPU (2800 MHz, Hyper-Treading: 2 thread, 1 core, 1 MB L2
cache, SSE3+monitor/mwait instructions, 800 MHz FSB, dual-channel DDR400
latency 3 memory, ECC and caches are enabled in BIOS setup).
Ctrl+V at the Writer (insertion as a formatted text): this operation took more
than 1 minute. Other processes did not work, the CPU and the disk was free,
there are 16,8 GB free space on drive C:, the defragmenter said "not requried".
