--- Comment #2 from Eike Rathke <[email protected]> ---
So you mean that in {1,2} the inline array column separator was changed to
{1.2}? That would make sense because the French locale uses the , comma decimal
separator and therefor uses a different inline array column separator, which is
set to . dot.

Your locale is en-US (with . dot decimal separator), what is the locale of your
colleague who uses French UI and what does s/he have in the settings of Tools
-> Options -> Calc -> Formula, Separators; and are those the default settings
or manually altered?

If I use a French UI and locale I get no problem with
=SOMME(GRANDE.VALEUR(D2:F2;{1.2}))

If I force a French UI with en-US locale I get a message box that the
separators are conflicting and the formula separators are set to

Fonction: ,
Colonne de matrice: ,
Ligne de matrice: ;

that leads to
=SOMME(GRANDE.VALEUR(D2:F2,{1,2}))
and is also fine.

So something is different in your colleague's setting, please tell what.

Your LibreOffice version 7.3.7 is quite old by the way..
