Bug ID: 161827
Summary: "LO Writer" doesn't select HP AIO 7740 paper tray
correctly
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.3.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Printing and PDF export
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I use an HP 7740 AIO. It has two trays. I've tried every setting that I can
find to force selection of something other than "Tray 1". I'm using LO
v7.3.7.2 on a Linux Mint 21.1 workstation. The printer is network connected by
wireless.
I saw a post saying that this was supposed to be fixed in a previous release
and to post a fresh bug report if I'm still having troubles. That is why I'm
writing this.
I have no idea what to provide as diagnostic to my situation. I'll gladly take
whatever steps you suggest to help resolve this issue for me and others.
~~~ 0;-} Dan
Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a something that you want to print
2.configure the output to require "Tray 2" or "Alternate" instead of "Tray 1"
or "primary"
3.The output selects the wrong tray or causes a forms mismatch error
Actual Results:
Depending on the requested output, I get either a printer error saying the
selected sheet size does not match the tray requested or I get a desktop
notification of a printer problem with the print request. I sometime get both.
Expected Results:
I have not been able to select "Tray 2" or "Alternate" using any available
print request dialog settings. Even if I select "Tray 2" from the printer
console and enable it as the default paper source, the queued print job
continues to try to use "Tray 1"
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
