            Bug ID: 161897
Summary: Save to remote SSH server hangs LibreOffice as if it
                    crashed
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.2.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When trying to save a document to a SSH server in my local network, LibreOffice
hangs for a few seconds - sometimes minutes - before actually opening the
dialog to save the file. This makes it seem as if the program crashed, and has
lead me to lose some files.
This doesn't happen when selecting the option "Save" and then going into an SSH
directory - that is mounted in my system -. However, saving using this option
is sometimes necessary.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new document, type in some text
2. Create a local SSH server in a separate machine
3. Try to save the document to that separate machine a few times using File ->
Save to Remote

Actual Results:
LibreOffice hangs for a few seconds or minutes, as if it had crashed, while
it's connecting. Then the password popup appears succesfully.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice should not crash and the document should be maintained no matter
the connection to the SSH server or how slow it is. It should do the save
process in a separate thread for slow connections/PCs.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
OS: Ubuntu 24.04
