Bug ID: 161936
Summary: Unable to scroll down in the "Styles" panel
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.0.0 alpha1+
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In the "Styles" panel, I am unable to scroll down to any entry that is below
one screen length.
On my FHD screen, the last style i can see in the "Styles" panel is "Drawing".
I cannot access any style that is listed below this.
In other words, any style name that begins with E-Z is out of reach.
* If I click on any style and then press DownArrow, I can scroll down. But the
moment I stop scrolling, the mouse jumps back to the top.
* If I scroll down with "two-finger swipe down" gesture on touchpad, the moment
I stop moving the fingers, the mouse cursor jumps back to the top
* If I drag the elevator button down, the list scrolls down. But the moment I
leave the LMB, the mouse jumps back to the top.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any file in Writer.
2. Select Styles (ALT+2)
3. Scroll down to an entry that is more than one screen depth (e.g. "Table
heading").
This happens regrdless of how I scroll down in the Styles list: Scrolling the
mouse MMB, dragging the elevator button, or pressing the DownArrow.
The cursor instantly jumps back to the top of the list.
We simply cannot scroll to any entry that is below one screen length!
I tried to change the UI to tabbed style and Standard toolbar, but that does
not change the bahavior.
Actual Results:
As described above
Expected Results:
I should be able to scroll down the list, and select any style.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
OS: Windows 11, 64 bit
