Description:
When I save a calc file csv with dates in mm/dd/yyyy format, they appear as
mm/dd/yy when re-opening the file. I have read that this is because no English
locales support mm/dd/yyyy format. I would like the option to make a
customizable locale, or just fix the format in English USA from mm/dd/yy to
mm/dd/yyyy.
This format is not accepted by accounting software.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have English USA locale active
2. Save a csv with mm/dd/yyyy date format
3. Open the file and look at the dates, they will be mm/dd/yy.
Actual Results:
short year format.
Expected Results:
long year format
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
This is well known and a headache for quite a few people. A simple dropdown box
for locale date formats would be nice. Or a checkbox.
