            Bug ID: 162007
Summary: Form Editing - (Control Properties) Object Positions
                    Revert/Reset randomly
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.6.5.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Base
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
There are many bugs revolving this one and I have spent countless times going
back to repeat the same operation (which should not be repeated) as I ignored
the bug but actually in the beginning I did not suspect it and it really just
sneaks its way before you realize the position is reverted or reset

Steps to Reproduce:
Bug # 1
1. Enter Control Properties
2. Change the Y Position of the Control
3. Click on another Control Properties Box such as Name.
4. Do other things, click on a different Control and then come back later to
the same Control
(The Above is for ONE BUG. Below is another related one)
Bug#2
1. Enter Control Properties
2. Click on the Y Position Box (without entering anything)
3. Click on another Property Box (Like Name for Example)

Bug#3

Actual Results:
Bug# 1. After doing other things and coming back to the same control
properties, I noticed the position went from 4.05 to 4.07 and this happens
unsuspected out of nowhere while I am doing other things. I kept fixing the
position back to 4.05 and no matter what I did, the position would go up or
down randomly. This is plenty to drive one insane. I had to close the form and
avoid saving it then reopen and repeat. This means the bug seems to be part of
the LibreOffice Base itself and is probably not related to the computer (in my
perspective). I have been working on and off with Base and so I completely
forget about these bugs and the workarounds, this has been going on for too
long, and considering usually one will not suspect what is happening (because
the change in position is a small difference) it would cause people to waste a
lot of time.

Bug # 2
If nothing was typed into the Y Position Box (Empty) and then clicks outside of
that box to another box such as Name, it seems it will assume a 0 Value and
then moves the box's position to 0 (x or y). This is really dumb and it makes
the app more sensitive than one has discovered it to be. For example it is
already extremely sensitive in that, at the beginning of using Office Base, I
would want to scroll through the Control Properties box and if the mouse was
hovering over any box while I was scrolling with the mouse wheel, the values in
the boxes would change, at first I did not notice this. Now I learned to scroll
through the left side and to be careful not to hover over any of the boxes in
the Control Properties tabs.

Expected Results:
Bug # 1 If I set the Y or X Position to anything, it should remain in that
position indefinitely until one attempts to change that position intentionally
via the Control Properties: Positions (X and or Y)

Bug # 2 If I click on an empty Y or X Position box and then click on another
box such as Name, this should not cause the objects position to default to 0
since this is not the intention (although it would be useful if the intention
was to set to 0 but who would ever do that?)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Bug#1
The software should allow making changes to the position of an object
permanent and indefinite via the Control Properties>Position Y or X places.
Once the Position has been SET to any given number, it should not change simply
because one was busy editing other things afterwards. The Software should Not
revert or reset the position of objects in the background when one could not
suspect it is happening.

Bug#2
The software should not assume things such as clicking on the empty X or Y
Position and then clicking elsewhere equating to setting the position to 0. It
is safer to assume one has either accidentally clicked this box or has many
other possible reasons for clicking the box and not entering anything.
