Description:
When writing code and moving the cursor around, a vertical line sometimes
persists where the cursor was and is only removed if the line is scrolled out
of view then back in again.

I do not know how to reproduce this every time, but it happens a lot.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up the IDE, and write some code
2. Move the cursor around
3. A thick vertical line remains where the cursor was
4. The line remains until you scroll the line out of view then scroll back into
view again.

Actual Results:
A thick vertical line appears where the cursor was

Expected Results:
No graphical remnants are present
