A core issue with this bug is that it seems very hard to reproduce. I have seen
it crop up in equation-heavy documents, after hours of work, but never on small
example documents.

It also seems to happen in steps; E.g. a preview of the equation remains
visible, but it is already not editable, and then shows up as a broken object
only after reopening the file later.

I.e. in *some* way, objects get dropped out of the file in a way that isn't
visible when closing the file, and leaves you with a broken document without
any prior indication, nor a hint at what point something happens.

>From a reporter-side, all we can do is provide examples of broken documents,
and they generally can't be small either.
