Bug ID: 162157
Summary: Animations in Impress are difficult to re-arrange
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.2.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
On a slide containing many animations (e.g., appear effect), it is difficult to
re-arrange the order of these animations. This is because there is no easy way
to identify which entry in the animation pane corresponds to which object on
the slide.
The problem is avoided in other similar software (for instance PowerPoint) by
adding a small numerical label next to each object on the slide that can be
easily associated to each entry in the animation pane.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a slide create several objects, shapes, text boxes, etc
2. Add appear animations to all of these objects
3. Notice that it is difficult to re-arrange the order of these animations
Actual Results:
Re-arranging many animations is difficult due to the lack of visual feed-back
between animation pane entries and objects on the slide.
Expected Results:
Impress should provide an easier way to associate the entries of the animation
pane and the objects on the slide.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
This issue could be solved by adding a numerical label next to each objects on
the slide when entering the animation pane. A numerical label should also be
present in the animation pane, next to each entry name.
