Oftentimes I'm reluctant to apply "clear direct formatting", because the italic
markup will be lost.
It would be great if a tool, in tools, existed for replacing all italics with
emphasis.
Then applying clear all direct formatting would not cause erasure of editing
work, and the text would remain identical. Basically :) But under control, for
sure.
- - one additional note:
It is a bad thing that "emphasis" cannot be
applied together with "strong", (Bug 162182).
