Bug ID: 162189
Summary: Improved selectability of vector graphics without a
background in Impress and Draw
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Breaking this out of Bug 150165. If you insert a vector graphic that doesn't
have a background spanning the whole area of the graphic, you can only grab the
graphic for dragging it around at a place where there is "content". If you have
e.g. some technical drawings or similar, this can result in large parts of the
graphic's surface can actually not be used to select that object. And
especially if you have very thin lines, it's very difficult to find a spot
where you can actually grab the graphic, making any changes to it very
difficult and tedious.
This is an issue in Impress and Draw, but not in Writer. There, you can just
select any point inside the area of the graphic, and a gray boarder is drawn
around the area.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. insert vector image lacking a background surface
2. try to select it
Actual Results:
see above
Expected Results:
see above
Reproducible: Always
