            Bug ID: 162277
Summary: Calc: setting alternating colors causes the program to
save every possible cell in the spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.2.5.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Setting an alternating colors style caused Calc to save every possible cell in
the spreadsheet (which were mostly empty), resulting in a larger-than-necessary
file, very long save/load times, and long freezes on actions such as hitting
Enter in a cell

The .ods file was about 166 kb in size and the extracted content.xml was about
6 mb and contained mostly cell data entries that looked like

table:table-cell table:number-columns-repeated="3"/><table:table-cell
table:style-name="ce24"/><table:table-cell table:number-columns-repeated="3"/>

(The "correct" .ods file was about 27 kb and contained none of that.)

Removing formatting also cleared the issue.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Format > AutoFormat styles
2. Select a style
3. Save

Actual Results:
Every possible cell in the spreadsheet being written to the .ods file (details
above)

Expected Results:
Only cells with data should be saved, as usual

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This only seemed to happen in one specific spreadsheet file which was created
in a much older version of Calc, so it's possible that this is a bug in an old
version that has since been fixed and was just propagated forward by the
corrupted file.
