Bug ID: 162627
Summary: [LOCALHELP][UI] Mismatch between Help and user
interface on Status Bar
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.0.0 alpha0+
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Keywords: possibleRegression
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
The Help page on "Combined display" [1] of the status bar has a description
that does not match the user interface.
It says:
-------------8<--------------
When the cursor is positioned within text, you can double-click this field to
open the Fields dialog. In this dialog, you can define a field to be inserted
in your document at the current cursor position.
-------------8<--------------
It does not work on master branch.
Version: 25.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 42e517ca2fbf3cbec7500ff0b8e0efe19d0b7adf
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: x11
Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
So either:
1) The Help page is wrong/outdated and the text should be removed
or
2) the Status Bar has a bug and does not work as described in the Help page
(regression)
Note: The page refers to .uno:StatusBarFunc [2]
