I can't reproduce this. Would be best to attach an example file with 100% exact
steps to reproduce.

Your steps do not mention deleting the content of PositionY, but that is the
only way I can make it empty. Therefore, I don't see any issue here. Why
wouldn't it go to zero, if I empty the field? What do you expect it to do
instead? Revert to its original value? Reverting would go against the
expectations.

Also, you should have one bug per report.
