            Bug ID: 162701
Summary: If the content of a cell passes the width, and the
cell to the right is occupied, it no longer displays
an image to show that not all of the cell content is
                    visible
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.6.7.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Previously, whenever the content of a cell was partially hidden because it
passed the cell width, and the cell to the right was occupied,
a small image was displayed to indicate that not all the content of the cell
was displayed.

This is no longer the case.
Someone has (maybe accidently) microsofted Libreoffice. (That is a known fault
of Microsoft Excel.)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter a value in a cell that passes the cell width. Text will show it
better.
2. Enter any value in the cell to the right.
3. Note that the part of the content of the first cell is now hidden, with no
graphic displayed to show that fact.

Actual Results:
See step 3 above.

Expected Results:
As used to happen in previous versions of Libreoffice, a small coloured image
indicates that some cell content is hidden

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This is a change in the last year or so.
Even Openoffice, from which Libreoffice is derived, showed the same tiny
coloured image in the event of part of a cell content being covered by the cell
to the right.
This is important to verify the actual cell content

The first version that shows this bug is unknown. My current version is
7.6.7.2
