Installation and user profile was originally installed as 24.2.0.1; upgraded to 24.2.3.2; then upgraded to 24.8.0.3 Attempted to toggle the "Whitespace" option resulted in nothing happening. Restarted in Safe Mode and it worked. Created a new user profile and it worked; but the option is not remembered between sessions despite creating a new default template.
