Bug ID: 162744
Summary: Text formatting in table is reset when adding new row
to formatted table
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If I create a table in LibreOffice Writer, and then select a format on the
table, I am experiencing problems with text formatting inside the table
afterwards.
An example: I create a 2x2 table and select format Default Table Style for the
table. I enter text in the four cells of the table and format the text with
font, size, bold, italic and so on. If i now try to add a new row to the table,
all text formatting is removed, the text is reset to its default format. This
does not happen if no format is selected for the table.
I can get around this problem by selecting "Protect cells" every time I want to
add a new row to the table. If I do that, the text formatting is not reset, but
I am still having problems setting row height. This makes it rather cumbersome
working with tables. It would be very nice if this bug could be corrected.
I am running the latest version of Libreoffice - 24.8.0.3.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a 2x2 table, with format Default Table Style
2.Enter some text in the four cells of the table
3.Format the text with font, size, bold, italic.....
4.Add a new row to the table
Actual Results:
All text formatting is reset.
Expected Results:
The text formatting should not have been reset
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
