--- Comment #2 from almos <[email protected]> ---
On linux and any unix-like systems with X window system there are two different
clipboards. The normal clipboard, which is usually accessed with ctrl-x ctrl-c
and ctrl-v, works in calc as expected. The selection clipboard works as
follows: if something is selected with the mouse, it is automatically copied
into a buffer, and you can paste it anywhere with middle click (extremely
handy). Calc puts the contents of the selected cells into the selection
clipboard, which is OK, but it shouldn't clear the clipboard on unselecting.
This has a side-effect that you can't paste the selection to an other sheet
with the middle click, because the selection is canceled when changing sheets,
and the selection clipboard is also cleared.
