I guess your Ivory Tower approach trumps all other considerations.

The ODF document standards are terrific and consistent. I applaud that and
agree.

However, the MSO documents overwhelmingly continue to dominate the real world
of office documents. Thiss will probably remain true until the world recognizes
that MS<anything> is trash and needs to be discarded in favr of something safe,
reliable and resilient (aka, Linux, which does not run MS<anything> without
outside assistance (e.g., Wine).

The very least that LO should do is document clearly and plainly that LO is not
MSO compatible, never will be, and why (standardized formats vs inconsistent
proprietary junk formats that most people continue to use).

I withdraw my objections, complaints and bugs.
