            Bug ID: 163005
Summary: Modifying notes page format is impossible and naming
                    of thing is confusing
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.2.5.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Impress

Description:
I have a series of slides imported for powerpoint.

For some reason when I open the "notes" view, I see a tiny slide within a very
large page. To see the properties of this page I need to go to "Slide -> Slide
properties...". This is already confusing. If you are in a notes view, there
should be a "Page properties" entry in format, not a "Slide properties..."
entry in "Slide"

In "Slide properties..." there is a `Slide` tab (slide again) giving you the
properties of the the notes page. In my case this is huge and landscape,
possibly explaining why the slide appears small on the page. It is possible to
move the view of the slide around, but not to resize it.

If I change the size of the slide in the notes view, then this actually changes
the size of the notes page, without affecting the side of the slides when you
go back to the slide page. However, the page elements are not resized
appropriately and often the slide disappears altogether. In many cases the
slide appears even smaller in a large dotted rectangle (what is it?).

Even using the notes master page there seems to be no way to fix the notes
page.
