For several years, this has been requested by numerous people. Your bug fix
list claims that it was resolved / fixed, but it was not. I do not believe that
LibreOffice developers understand the issue / need.
The formula bar needs to allow for a LARGER font, just within the FORMULA BAR.
This is not something which can be changed by using "View / Zoom" within menus,
within LibreOffice settings / preferences, or within the OS settings /
preferences.
As my formulas tend to be quite short, I do not need the large amount of
calculation space available in the FORMULA BAR. I DO want to be able to see
and use the FORMULA BAR more effectively, with a LARGER font.
