LO Problems with hidden text after update

Hello,
I got a new PC and I used this opportunity to make a clean Win 10 and LO
24.2.5.2 installation.
Previously I used LO 7.0.3.1.
Now I have problems with hidden text, I have hundreds of documents with
questions and hidden answers just after that.
Sometimes the answer is just a word/value inline after the question.
Sometimes the answer is in a frame with hidden text inside.
Sometimes the answer is a scanned image anchored into such a frame.
In LO 7.0.3.1 the scanned image disappeared with the text when "toggling
formatting marks" (i modified the view options so that this icon is basically
toggling hidden on/off) or when disabling hidden text in the print dialog.
In LO 24.2.5.2 only the hidden text disappears but not the scanned images
anchored into that. Seems problem does not exist if anchored to 2nd line in
frame. (desktop, Elite, ProBook)
Is this intended change/behavior?
If yes, how can I make images/graphics hidden?
Another problem: hidden text is not printed anymore, even if selected in
the print dialog. This is maybe only for hidden text in frames because the
hidden "3." in the headline is printed. (desktop, Elite, not on ProBook!?)
Often - but not always - LO crashes when toggling formatting marks on/off
while such a scanned image is selected. (desktop, Elite, ProBook)
All this worked fine for many years I used 7.0.3.1. Now I made a big jump to
24.2.5.2 and problems appeared. Upgraded to 24.8.1.2 but it did not solve the
problems.
Same/similar behavior exists on my 2 laptops (Elite, ProBook) where I upgraded
from LO 7.0.3.1 to 24.2.5.2 (also Win 10).
Also not all docs crash when toggling formatting marks while an image is
selected. 03_3P_Leistung_AB.odt does not crash; writer_with_hidden_text.odt
crashes.
If I can help to diagnose let me know.
