            Bug ID: 163211
Summary: "Save preview image with this document" active by
                    default
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.3.7.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I prefer not having document previews for my LibreOffice documents. Updating to
LibreOffice 7.3.x with a Linux Mint 21.3 upgrade now has all of my documents
with a preview image of the file in my file manager (Thunar), which throws me
off when trying to find files by filetype/icon. I'm not keen on changing Thunar
settings, and wanted to report the suggestion I have for LibreOffice here, not
for other software solutions.
This affects me for LibreOffice Writer and Calc.

I'm not sure if LibreOffice was saving a preview in previous versions but not
showing it when loading.

My suggestion is to allow for a general/selectable default; I don't want to
have to clear this flag for all files I care about, but neither should someone
who wants previews.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a version of LibreOffice (6.x?) and
2. Create files (Writer, Calc).
3. Save these files with default settings, but check for ""Save preview image
with this document" setting
4. Upgrade to LibreOffice 7.3.x

Actual Results:
All existing documents have a new preview when previous versions did not show
the preview in my file manager.

Expected Results:
No preview for existing files created before LibreOffice 7.3.x

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
