Description
The animation for a text frame to appear letter by letter does not work.
Expected Behavior
Each letter should appear one after another
Actual Behavior
All letters appear at the same time
Steps to reproduce
1. Create a new slideshow
2. Add some text
3. Select the text
4. Add it as an animation
5. Select as animation
- Category: Entrance
- Effect: Basic-Appear
- Start: On Click
6. Click on the Options button of the effect/or right click on the Animation
overview and select Effect Options
7. Change Text animation from All at once to:
Letter by letter
8. Set Delay between characters to 10%
9. Run the slide show
Additional Info:
I made this animation work in one slideshow, there the tab Timing of the Effect
Options allows to set a Duration for the animation. Maybe this is the reason
why they all appear at the same time, as it is grayed out.
If the Animation is set to Fly In first, and then to Appear the animation works
as expected because I am able to set a duration in Fly In.
