            Bug ID: 163405
Summary: Libre office crashes default GUI for Linux Mint 21 on
attempt to save document in writer
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.3.7.2 release
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When I attempt to save a document in Libre office while using Linux Mint 21
either as a 'save' or as a 'save as' the GUI crashes. This is a consistent
problem that always occurs and the document is not saved. The problem started
with the Libre office update a few weeks ago. When I reload the GUI or reboot
the computer the lost document does not recover when I reload Libre office.
Only a blank page recovers. This latest update has never worked even once.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.load libre office
2.create new document
3.attempt to save or save as document

Actual Results:
GUI crashes document not saved. This is a fatal flaw that makes libre office
writer completely unusable!

Expected Results:
Document is saved

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
In my experience Libre office company culture values form over function. (More
'eye candy' over 'it just works'.) I have only experienced 2 bugs with office
suite software. Both were in the fatal flaw level (totally unusable - no work
arounds). Both were with released versions of Libre office. I do not use office
suite software much, but in my experience the best solution to this level of
bug is to replace the office suite with another that is more reliable.
