Bug ID: 163491
Summary: EDITING While sorting data 1 removed from random
numbers in the selected data
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Somewhere in the following process, several (seemingly random) cells containing
integers had 1 subtracted from them. I cannot include the file due to GDPR
issues, the spreadsheet included lists of student names (string), student
emails (string), student tutorial groups (string) and in the final column of
student id numbers (string).
What happened:
I copied data from one sheet to another and then reorganised (a selected set
of) the data using the sort function on a subset of the sheet (so that this
part was ordered by the tutorial group string). In doing so, it appears that
seemingly random student numbers (integer) had 1 removed from them. I don't
know if its relevant but this was the last column in the data I was
reorganising. The numbers were removed slightly less than once per tutorial
group and it affected no more than one student per tutorial group. The sheet
was saved as an .xlsx if this is relevant.
As mentioned I am not able to share any of the (fairly large) files involved in
this and I do not know where the issue occurred.
