COLIN Stéphane <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|WORKSFORME |--- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED --- Comment #7 from COLIN Stéphane <[email protected]> --- It look like this bug is reintroduced but I cannot say since how long, because this is the 1st time I learn how to create a « text zone » inside a document... By the way, it is impossible to create accentuated characters using the standard keyboard sequence with LibreOffice « writer » : Version: 24.8.2.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 480(Build:1) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Ubuntu package version: 4:24.8.2-0ubuntu0.22.04.1~lo1 Calc: threaded Runing under linux « Ubuntu Unity (xorg) 22.04 LTS » flavor, with the LibreOffice installed from this repository : bigbob@bigbob-t480s:~$ apt-cache policy | grep libreoffice 500 https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/libreoffice/ppa/ubuntu jammy/main i386 Packages release v=22.04,o=LP-PPA-libreoffice,a=jammy,n=jammy,l=LibreOffice Fresh,c=main,b=i386 500 https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/libreoffice/ppa/ubuntu jammy/main amd64 Packages release v=22.04,o=LP-PPA-libreoffice,a=jammy,n=jammy,l=LibreOffice Fresh,c=main,b=amd64 bigbob@bigbob-t480s:~$ I have added a « text zone » inside a « writer » document, inside this « text zone », I am unable to use the standard keyboard sequence under linux. For example to create an « u » circumflex, under linux, I always and everywhere use the keyboard sequence : 1) hit the circumflex key. 2) hit the letter I want to accentuate, in this case the letter « u ». The result must be the accentuated letter « û » <- I currently used the sequence I described to write this one... Actually, that does nothing inside the defined « text zone », whereas everywhere else in the document it work like expected. Hope my description is well formatted to help you debug the problem... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
