Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: dropdown icon attachment breaks "rule of closeness"
Severity: minor
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All

Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: unspecified
Component: UI
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 80902

An image with screenshots of the buttons.
Buttons which contains a dropdown attachment has this little narrow button with
a triangle. The arrow is located in the middle between the two and it can be
harder to know which button it belongs to.
In graphics design there is this "rule of proximity". The current setup breaks
this rule.
My solution would be to poke the little triangle a little bit to the left.
Perhaps a 25% margin to the left and a 75% margin to the right would do it. It
is important that it scales as the buttons become larger.
