Bug ID: 163631
Summary: Opening LibreOffice often fails and stays stuck with
the status bar half filled.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.2.1 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Opening LibreOffice often fails and stays stuck with the status bar half
filled. I think this happen every time or nearly everytime. It has been an
issue for a week or so.
Restarting the computer (Windows 11) seems to be a solution. After the restart
I click LibreOffice to open and this is successful. It might not open because I
have clicked on a 3 or 4 programs to open such as when starting work in the
morning. I do not know if LibreOffice needs to be opened before any other
program. Or if the opening of multiple programs affects LibreOffice. I suppose
it could be my basis laptop Swift 3 Acer does not have the right capacity to
open multiple programs.
I'm not particularly technical. In the past LibreOffice would open successfully
and consistently even when requesting more the one program to open.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Turn on lap top
2.Open various programs including LibreOffice or just LibreOffice
3.
Actual Results:
LibreOffice does not open
Expected Results:
LibreOffice should have opened
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Installing the update 24.8.2.1 (x86_64) did not change matters and it still
does not load on 1st attempt
