Bug ID: 163681
Summary: LO calc forgets the decimal point importing plain text
data files when the decimal number has exact three
digits after the point.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.2.1 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I have data files of measurements (decimal and integer numbers) in plain text
(see attachment).
Importing the data (does not matter if with "file open with ..." or in LO "file
open ...") all is done well except the at the decimal numbers, which have exact
three digits after the point. In this case LO forgets the point: 1.234 → 1234.
If I change first in the text file the decimal point into a comma, LO does the
import correctly.
My LO localization is "de" (running on opensuse leap). I had the same effect a
few years ago on a Intel windows 10 system.
I have attached a shortend (not changed, only deleted a few lines at the
beginning an thousands at the end) file.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. import the file in LO calc.
2. See the lines 3081, 3228, 3390, 3649, 3668, 3673 and others.
3.
Actual Results:
LO forgets the decimal point.
Expected Results:
Dont't forhet the decimal point!
Reproducible: Always
