Because e.g. sometimes a bug results in a specific file crashing the program on open; then if it's in your crash list, and will try to open each time, you will get a crash loop. Which leads to another set of controls ... and the UI becomes cluttered, for a use case which, likely, will be only rarely useful (I may be wrong in the assessment).
