This is on up-to-date openSUSE Tumbleweed with latest LibreOffice.
When inserting a section, there is the option to collect footnotes and endnotes
at the end of the section. For endnotes this works, for footnotes it does not.
Nothing happens then.
I remember it worked in the past (but that was some time ago, so not certain),
so it seems to be a regression.
