This comes up everywhere. I have a post awaiting moderator approval here: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/68012031 There are even some links to sites letting people download Lotus WordPro . . . which I would only do if I firmly believed my anti-virus software was bullet proof. I have not tried it, but here is the GitHub page for Manuskript https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/68012031 which claims to allow choosing between "outline" format and the index card format shown on the screenshot. This may also provide some guidance for developers here since you can look at the code _and_ see it run. I have not used Scrivener but have author friends who love it. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener/overview It's commercial and doesn't run on Linux. They had a Linux beta years ago but killed it off after learning Linux users won't spend money on software. Windows users know nothing else. Also have not tried Papyrus Author which claims to have features much like this request. https://www.papyrusauthor.com/plans/ Also claims to be free. Campfire, which I've also never used, appears to be taking the navigator/dashboard on the side approach to multiple tab sections within same document. https://www.campfirewriting.com/word-processor I'm listing all of these other things so that developers/project leaders get a real idea from functioning software on what people want. If they choose not to do it, then this list might provide some guidance to those in need. **Bottom line is that this might be an OpenDocument file format bug.** If the data storage format does not allow for the concept of "sections" like the Microsoft XLS file format for spreadsheets did, it physically won't be a doable feature. This is not a duplicate of 37134. It is a duplicate of 33173. They are requesting tabbed document sections. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
