When I start up LibreOffice 4.0.3.3 (probably not the version you used) with a
user profile, I don't see the any text in the splash screen besides
"LibreOffice" and "The Document Foundation" (regardless of the readability
option).

If I perform these steps though (on Windows 7 Home Premium, 1600 by 900
monitor):
1. Right-click a blank space on the desktop, click "Screen Resolution", click
"Make text and other items larger or smaller", click "Medium"
2. Click "Apply", close all programs, log out, log back in
3. Open the Start Menu, and click "Computer"
4. In Windows Explorer's location bar, type "%appdata%", and press the Enter
key
5. Double-click "LibreOffice"
6. Double-click "4"
7. Close all processes of LibreOffice
8. Rename the folder "user"
9. Open the Start Menu, type "LibreOffice Calc", and press Enter
LibreOffice Calc shows some text in the splash screen (for example "Enabling:
Wiki Publisher). Sometimes, the text is cut off, but this happens even when the
readability option is set to "Smaller - 100% (default)".

I've marked the Status as RESOLVED WORKSFORME, because the symptoms you
describe in the bug report don't seem to apply to LibreOffice 4.0.3.3.
(LibreOffice 4.0.1 and later versions have a different splash screen.) The
closest thing seems to be that some of the text is cut off when LibreOffice is
generating a new user profile, but that happens regardless of the Windows
readability option, so I think reporting that problem should be in a new bug
report. If you encounter this bug in LibreOffice 4.0.3.3 or a later version,
change the status back to UNCONFIRMED and leave a comment with more details.

Although this bug apparently doesn't appear in the latest version, it probably
applied to the latest version of LibreOffice when you reported this bug, so
thanks for reporting this bug!
