Alphabetical indexing against a LibreOffice Concordance template text file is
possible already. 

The .sdi extension is *irrelevant* as the Concordance template is a simple
"delimited" text file.

Trivial to Create in Calc. Just 'Save as' type "Text CSV (*.csv)" and use 'Edit
filter settings' checkbox to change the "Field delimiter" to semicolon in the
popup. 

Resulting saved delimited text file is the concordance template. The file name
will be .csv, but can be changed if needed.

Possible, but more work to do it from a Table in a Writer document as you'd
need to copy table cells into a Calc sheet and then to the delimited text file.
