The comment by m_a_riosv that the problem would be solved in 24.8.3 release appears to be incorrect. As before, trying to EDIT a table of contents in a document that does not use the Default template crashes LO. Now, trying to EDIT a table of contents in a document that does use the Default template also crashes LO. Additionally, now, trying to INSERT a table of contents or index crashes LO, even if the document's template is Default. The crash occurs when Insert -> Table of Contents and Index is selected. I have attempted these actions multiple times on 23 Nov. 2024 and had LO send in crash reports each time, in case you have access to them. These problems do not occur in safe mode.
