NO, sorry, you make a confusion here.

I was speaking about NON-BREAKING HYPHEN, i.e. U+2011, which is an always
visible hyphen that **PREVENTS** hyphenation at the end of a row.

Soft hyphen, i.e. U+00AD, is a _totally different thing_.
