--- Comment #7 from [email protected] --- This problem is discussed at https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/document-editing-lock-not-working-how-to-enable-it/105036 I asked the question on the Microsoft support forum and was told “Regarding the files you marked with a red arrow starting with. ~lock at the beginning, they are invalid file names and OneDrive will not synchronize them.” Since the problem is that OneDrive will not synchronise LibreOffice lock files, an option could be given to make lock files look like normal files. If an ordinary, non-hidden, file was used as a lock file, OneDrive should synchronise it, which would solve the problem. The name of the lock file could makes its purpose clear, e.g. instead of ".~lock.filename.ods#" it could be something like "filename.ods.is_locked". This would also perhaps help with the problem of some users not understanding the purpose of the hidden file when they discover it. An option within LibreOffice settings could allow the user to choose between using the current hidden type of lock files and using a normal file as a lock file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
