If a document contains fields and is opened as read only, it is not possible to
open any of the Fields / Edit field dialog, and if there are user fields in the
document, it is not possible to easily copy their content, for example to use
in another document.
1. Open attached document, it has a user field and Open as Read-only attribute
set
2. Press Ctrl-F2, or try to double click on the field
-> not working.
Of course a bit of challenge is that you can't really insert new fields into an
RO document from the Fields dialog, so at least the Insert button should be
still kept disabled in this situation.
