Like BogdanB mentioned in Comment 11, the root cause of your problem is Direct
Formatting.

In LO 7.6+, there is now the absolutely fantastic:

- Format > Spotlight > Character Direct Formatting

This highlights all the messy Direct Formatting hiding inside your document.

(For example, doing that on your attached ODT file, you'll see that entire 1st
paragraph "Vestibulum neque massa, scelerisque sit amet [...]" will light up in
gray.)

You can then:

1. Highlight the problematic area.
2. Wipe it away with:
--- Format > Clear Direct Formatting (Ctrl+M)

- - -

Combine this with the absolutely AWESOME:

- Format > Spotlight > Paragraph Styles

and you can see which Styles are applied to which paragraphs:

- Each numbered/colored rectangle matches a given Style.
--- Any rectangle with "diagonal slashes" in it means there's some sort of
manual override on that paragraph.
--- Just reapply the Paragraph Style to get it clean.

I've been writing tutorials and promoting the "Spotlight" feature ever since it
got added in LO 7.6!

It's one of THE BEST killer features! :)

But yeah, like mentioned above—Direct Formatting is a plague.

You ALWAYS want to do everything using Styles... and now it's easier than ever
to find/clean this junk up! :)
