Looks like issue is with the "Current Mail Merge Entry" field (only a "page" in the sense that it is the current document to be generated from the merge list source). And seems to be an issue that once a mail merge has been done and a data source linked, the field holding the "current" entry does not update when using any of the movement buttons (First, Previous, Next, Last) between the entries. STR: 1. Create new Writer document text for mail merge 2. Create a new address source (Calc sheet, with first row for column names: Title, First Name, Last Name, Address Line 1, Town, ZIP --.etc and adjust as needed for your locale). 3. Use the Tools -> 'Mail Merge Wizard...' button to launch dialog 4. follow dialog and at the 'Insert Address Block' select the address source from step 2 (back out and adjust field names if needed). 5. Use the checkbox 'This document shall contain an address block' and select the fields to match address source of step 2. //This just helps to see effect of the First, Previous, Next, Last buttons when reviewing the finished merge. 6. No need to add salutation. Adjust the layout if desired, set 1.0" if needed (default from a cm value depending on locale) 7. Finish the dialog 8. Presented with the letter with the address block showing, and the bracketed field names showing (allows spacing and punctuation if needed). Note: on the MM toolbar the 'Current Mail Merge Entry' field shows '1' 10. Use the MM tb 'Next Mail Merge Entry' button. The address block shows full content. But the 'Current Mail Merge Entry' does not advance. 11. Move Previous, Next, Last, First--will reposition to corresponding letter. But the 'Current Mail Merge Entry' will not follow and change. 12. The field should track current index. While it can be used to directly move an entry, e.g. 1 or 6 and it moves to that letter. But other than that direct entry the "current" field value does not update. Seems like it should. =-testing-= Sorry, couldn't figure out how to attach a test doc with the address book embedded (data source is linked in user profile). Just follow STR to produce your own.
