            Bug ID: 164419
Summary: Resizing columns in large documents results in "loss"
of the place one is working in
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.8.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Resizing columns (probably when 2 or more are present) in large documents
results in "loss" of the place one is working in.
We use Libreoffice a lot to work on translations and we have to adjust the
columns regularly due to the difference in length of the languages.
Unfortunately this results continuously in the displacement of the visible
portion of the document to an area where one is not working.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open attachd file
2. Scroll down 10 pages or more
3. highlight a word to see visually where you are in the document
4. resize a column (in the documents we work with, only a minor resize takes us
ealsewhere, but in this one the resizing may have to be bigger)

Actual Results:
The visible portion of the document is not the place where one was working

Expected Results:
One should remain where s/he was to keep working.

Reproducible: Always
